The beads have a gold wash coating that gets in the melon grooves to add a nice accent to the beads.
Beads from Czech began as a cottage industry where skilled artisans would make the beads in small batches. Pressed glass beads are made by placing a heated glass rod in to molds that form the shape of the bead.
